What is Reiki Distant Healing?
Distant Reiki
When sending Reiki energy to a person or animal for healing purposes, the Reiki practitioner does not need to be physically present with the recipient. The practitioner also does not need to send the energy at the exact same time the recipient is receiving it. Distant Reiki is based on the understanding that energy is not limited by physical space or linear time.
Reiki energy is intended to support the highest good and best possible outcome for everyone involved. It will not override a person’s or animal’s free will or intentionally cause harm.
The primary requirements for receiving a distant Reiki treatment are permission to receive the energy and a sincere willingness to be open to its benefits.
You do not need to actively focus on the healing while the Reiki is being sent. However, it is highly recommended that you allow yourself time to relax and drink plenty of water during the first 24 hours after your treatment.
What Do I Need to Do to Prepare to Receive Distant Reiki?
All you need to do is give permission for Reiki energy to be sent to you. If you are requesting Reiki for yourself, your request serves as your implied consent.
If possible, it may be beneficial to set aside at least 15 minutes each day for quiet time, relaxation, or meditation while the energy is being sent. This is not required for the Reiki treatment to be effective.
If you are ordering a distant Reiki session for someone else, please obtain their permission beforehand and make sure they are aware that Reiki will be sent to them.
If a person or animal is not open to receiving the Reiki energy, the energy will be redirected back to the person who scheduled the session or to whoever is open and willing to receive it.
When Will My Treatment Begin?

To arrange your session, please provide:
- A photo of yourself, your animal, or the individual you would like to receive Reiki.
- The state where the recipient resides.
- An email address or phone number where Melissa can reach you.
- Your preferred method of communication (text or email).
All communication regarding your session will take place through text or email.
Treatments can begin as soon as the next business day after all arrangements have been completed.
